Existing Content: Websites and Digital Content

  1. UConn will strive to make its most highly trafficked websites fully accessible.
  2. Set up a system to review and ensure the accessibility of its most highly trafficked online content
    1. Evaluation tool: Ally for Web; Accessible Name and Description Indicator (ANDI); WAVE (WebAim); other semi-automated testing tools
  3. Test Results Reports will be distributed to content administrators and departments as applicable
    1. The IT Accessibility Coordinator will review the Test Results Reports with applicable staff
  4. Applicable staff will develop a plan for remediation during the review of the Test Results Report with the IT Accessibility Coordinator and submit draft following the review
    1. The IT Accessibility Coordinator will review the proposed plan within five (5) business days of receipt
    2. At that point, the plan will either be approved or returned for revision
  5. Following approval of remediation plan, applicable staff are expected to implement the plan
  6. Quarterly reports of progress are to be submitted to the IT Accessibility Coordinator
  7. The IT Accessibility Coordinator will submit compiled report to the Director of Campus Technology Services and the Chief Information Officer.
  8. This report will be available upon request to other members of the University and the community.
