New Content: Digital Solutions

  1. UConn will officially adopt and fully implement the amended policies and procedures referenced below
  2. UConn will demonstrate evidence of new and updates policies’ adoption and distribution, as well as a description of how they are being implemented
  3. UConn will adopt the following procedure for new product procurement, in accordance with the Universal Digital Accessibility Policy for Procurement
    1. Initial conversations with potential vendors will include requirement for WCAG 2.0 AA compliance as demonstrated by completion of the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT)
      1. VPAT will be sent to the IT Accessibility Coordinator
      2. In the event that a vendor is unable to comply with the Universal Digital Accessibility Policy
        1. The University shall attempt to secure the goods or services in question from a vendor who is able to comply
        2. Any departure from Universal Digital Accessibility Policy must be reviewed by the IT Accessibility Coordinator prior to execution of a contract
