A new accessibility feature will be enabled in HuskyCT this winter intersession and spring semester.
To support accessibility and facilitate broad engagement with information, ITS, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), and the Center for Student with Disabilities (CSD) evaluated the digital accessibility product Blackboard Ally. It measures the accessibility of content in HuskyCT, alerts the instructor to accessibility issues, and suggests remediation strategies (e.g., alternative formats, addition of tags). We began with a small pilot in Fall 2018 for some courses that had students with disabilities enrolled. We are now going to turn on this feature for all courses in HuskyCT this winter intersession and spring semester.
